Checklist To Prosper

February 4, 2020 by Molinda Goforth Leave a Comment

  Check List to Prosper

My first activity to meet my goals  is to develop a daily check list for activities.  Planning long term goals is difficult for me, but necessary now!

Almost completed my review of the past decade.  I was pleasantly surprised with some good things and very much aware there could have been more.  Working  solo has it’s challenges and I will meet mine via a Check List Start for the Month of February…to be updated at the end of each day. Today is Saturday. The time is  6:19 p.m.

 Learn!

  •   I will learn a new skill daily to better communicate online.

 Week Summary Overview

  • Greet each day with prayer…Good Morning God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. You are welcome in my life today.

  • Continue in prayer and meditation as desire leads.

  • Fill each day with productive actions to meet goal. This means being accountable for each minute and know every second counts.

  • Start the week with Happy, Healthy Monday and set the pace for success.

  • Saturday, Organize for coming week and document progress for the week

  • Sunday a day to worship, relax and enjoy family

In Conclusion

Saturday was a great day!  My son needed me to ride with him  to pick up his old truck and drive it back home.  He bought a beautiful Tundra truck.  Riding in it kindled my desire for another vehicle.

Once home, the warm weather permitted  me to open the garage and go through some boxes and hunt for resource treasures for next week.

We ate dinner on time!

I worked on the checklist for the clients I have who want to build a new home.  You got it.  They don’t want to buy, they would like to design, and oversee the building process. Their question was…where do we start.

For the first time ever, I am outlining goals for the next 10 years.  Mark Batterson,  author of the Circle Maker,  teaches us to pray circles around our biggest dreams and greatest fear.

Revelation:  It will take a few days to complete a productive routine to follow.

Sunday…we missed church.  I always feel a void when I don’t make it for church.

However, the day was wonderful.  I met with a new friend and we looked at a couple of houses.  Yes, Home, new houses, little houses  and land is where my heart and expertise lives.

Ending this week by continuing my over view of the past  10 years and written goals for the next. They are so outlandish, they amaze me!

Join me and let’s

My Monday Celebration Time

January 22, 2020 by Molinda Goforth Leave a Comment

Celebration Time…..Come On

There’s  An Exercise Party Going On Right Here…

Good Morning….Monday is Physical Therapy Day….hmm start with this..

Loving the power of singing today. Recalling memories from the last 10 years my list of favorite songs and artists, has  grown and grown!

Kris Kristopherson, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson rank equal at the top….along with Dolly Parton and BB King.

Think about it….Wedding music, Funeral music, worship music, classical for relaxation…music  play list for exercise.  Music is healing to our soul.

A scripture says, Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.  Serve the Lord with Gladness and come before his presence with thanksgiving.

Gospel songs ring out a sermon of their own, either exhuberant worship or repentance.

My parents started me with piano lessons when I was 6.  I kept hearing the melody in my head and kinda refused to practice what my wonderful instructor taught.  My skill was called playing by ear.  It worked well in the Pentecostal movement and I played for churches and funerals by the time I was 11.  I wrote a little course and taught other teens to play by ear.  The girls loved it as they captured the attention of the young men!

Why Music

Music engages all of our senses.  Jingles of food, make us remember the taste and smell, Love songs make warm or sad memories, BB King singing  the Blues stirs my  soul. My Old Kentucky Home…..brings a longing for childhood, hearing the crunch as we walked through the fall leaves.

The vibration of music affects the mood of everyone …..Sounds of thunder, marching cadence, waltz,  Good Morning.. wake up and good night..

In case you haven’t guessed it, I love Music!

Odd thought- I don’t have a play list for my work out.  What is yours?

I Wore The Wrong Shoes

January 15, 2020 by Molinda Goforth Leave a Comment

Molinda Goforth

The phone rang and I eagerly answered.  It was the hiring manager who had interviewed me the day before.

I had applied for a job to sell modular homes. The lot was upscale, people  friendly and a massive inventory made it a desirable place to work.  I was waiting for the phone to ring.

Your Shoes Aren’t Acceptable

However, when I received the anticipated call  a final deciding question was asked.  The call went like this, ” I noticed one thing during the interview…you were wearing tennis shoes.  We require dress shoes, preferably black.”  My $100.00 pair of blue tennis shoes that matched my dress outfit was a rejection???

Funny, I had noticed his shoes were dirty and the heels worn, but it did not keep me from wanting to work there.   How many people have purchased a major investment based on the salespersons shoes?

To this fashion bug gentleman, he felt his clients required a sales person to wear proper shoes.  His eyes did not see the acquired deformity that restricts the kind of shoes I can walk in.

My feelings and pride was hurt.  I also felt angry.

Since the accident in the 90’s, God has blessed me and my little crooked foot to sell many homes, to walk many miles and most people are kind.  Many have never noticed the acquired deformity. I cannot remember a day without pain.  Sundays are fun and sad, I miss pretty dress shoes for church. Since my accident in the late 90’s this was the second person to remark about my shoes.

Do you notice shoes when you meet someone new?  Do you remember their eyes, hair style, tone of voice or shoes?  If you remember the shoes, what color were they?  Did the lady wear high heels, boots, or sandals?

Can you work in a professional environment wearing tennis shoes? Do we decide the shoes necessary for the person in front of us to function, or the color of skin, the type of car makes skill and attitude?

Since the late 90’s I have experienced 6 surgeries on my right foot and need one more.  The foot is fused to the side.  I love it though.  It has served me well with pain and success.

Many people bought a home from me!  Guess what?  I was either wearing sandals or tennis shoes!

In Billings, I discovered a new mind set!  It also included professional sales ladies to shovel snow.

During a retreat in Redding, I received prophecy…”You will dance around the water in little shoes that glitter”

On snowy days, like today, I recall that prophecy and think of the Ocean,  wild and free with diamonds of sunlight glittering.  I am looking for little tennis shoes that glitter.

After trying on many shoes, I found one that was tolerable and somewhat comfortable.  The first pair of these, I purchased from a local store. Next ones,  were from Amazon.  I will continue to shop local so I can try on as my foot has changed some since the last purchase.

Until next time,

Health Lesson Today

January 8, 2020 by Molinda Goforth Leave a Comment

One Healthy Step At A time

Good Health

The following video, will influence and possibly change my menu for the remaining part of the January.

For now, the menu is repetitive….Protein drink  for Breakfast,  Cottage cheese and fruit at Noon,  Salad around 3:00 P.M and Dinner consist of a 3 course meal: Four ounces of meat, and two vegetable sides.  A snack of blueberries ends the day at 8:00 p.m.

I am considering an intermittent fast from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 AM….Just not sure how this works at this time.

Started the week Monday by drinking a delicious protein Juice Drink..  I am working on a schedule for the intermittent fasting.  Mornings greet me with it’s Coffee Time. Next, make my Juice Drink, and finally a cup of Bone Broth around 10:00 am. Yesterday,  I had Physical Therapy at 1:00 P.M where we are creating on an exercise program that will prepare my body for foot surgery if I chose to have it!

Only a week into this routine and I feel 70% better.  The only thing I was taking for pain, Aleve, is no longer necessary.  Please note, I am not sharing to suggest anyone should try exactly what I am trying.  I just want to document and give praise for the results changes are making in my well being.

What are you doing to improve life in your new Decade?

Next for me?  Well,  stay tuned and find out!

Bucket List Is Overflowing

January 4, 2020 by Molinda Goforth Leave a Comment

Bucket List is Overflowing!

Time to identify wants, wishes, or needs.

I want, I wish, I need.  I filled my bucket list with little notes expressing my dreams.

Molinda Goforth Monday, December 30th

Apparently, lots of those things are wishes.  My Bucket Overflowed and seems some of the things fell through the bottom. Reading my notes clearly defines my dreams are expressed more in the I wish, and I want. Oops…

Do you find yourself saying I wish I had…or I wish I had done or I wish it was tomorrow?  Maybe the weather is important.  Like me, you may say, I wish it was summer. I wish it was warm.

Today I bought  little buckets..

Next, I soreted the little slips of paper defining my needs, wishes and and wants .

Discard Bucket contains: Stop wishing and wanting notes

Priority Bucket:  Needs to be completed as soon as possible.

Future Bucket List:  Anticipation of future needs.

Bonus  buckets contain: Laughing Seed notes, suggestions for  the  Day of Rest and completed needs!

Bucket list for Health Food and Exercise

Happy and Healthy Monday starts the week with a daily demand to focus on health.  It’s a real challenge for me to stay with recipes that contribute to improving my health.  Making a menu for this month is from the bucket of needs.

Have you ever based your health needs on the desires and wishes of others? Maybe, it’s the others that live in your household….Little one, wants ice cream or candy and you make and of course oblige by eating.  Yep, I do that.

Oh, friend number one, two and three extend an invitation to eat out each week.  Let’s have a social meal with each one and put bunches of garbage and fat into our body.

My results from the past ….are  overweight, undernourished,  limited movement, financially lacking and  the laughter from long ago is long gone.

Why do I wake up in the middle of the night with my mind racing for the unfinished task in my mind?

Oh, and when I listen to the conversations of 50%  of the people around me my thoughts become negative.  Change is inevitable this Decade!

Join me. Have a social meal with each one and put bunches of garbage and fat into our body.

My results from the past ….are  overweight, undernourished,  limited movement, financially lacking and where the heck is the laughter from long ago is gone.  It’s a new day and I love it!

My limitations with movement (very extreme challenge) calls for Physical Therapy and daily Exercise!  Hmmm….Tomorrow, my appointment for Physical Therapy is at 2:30.

Tuesday:  This therapy appointment was a preview of what is to come.  She gave me an assignment to do at home.  I have an  appointment for January 2nd, 2020!   Awesome way to begin the New Decade. Let’s

Stop! Next Create 2020 Goals

December 22, 2019 by Molinda Goforth Leave a Comment

STOP!

Before Creating 2020 Goals

I am working on my goals for next year and the first thing on my list is to identify the things I will stop doing.  Wow!

Shared this idea with a friend this morning and she informed me it sounded very religious…   Hmm, maybe so. The visual for me is:  Stopping several things, will open the time frame for my actual goals.

Stop Right Now

Being Late…late for church, late to post on the blog, late getting dressed in the morning and late for appointments.  Have you gathered I am late! I  get up early. Are you ever late?

This week I am making written notes of times I am late and when I arrive on Time!

Made it on time for Church Sunday.

The following video is late because I did not do a good job on the video.  Each morning starts with this drink, so I will post this as soon as the new video is done.

Now, it’s time for a grocery run and some other errands, then I will make another video. This drink starts my weekly breakfast and is repeated each day through Friday.

Healthy Monday Morning Breakfast Drink

Yes, this video is many days past where I planned to share.  So, this is another thing on my list to stop.  I write at least 500 words a day, many  I would love to share with you.  Why not?  Well, I want them to be perfect. The video is not even good quality, but I am learning and now we do share the ingredients.  Keep watching!  My skills will improve.

For this time, the new video wasn’t any better than the first.  Then, I had a challenge uploading to You Tube.  Learning is so much fun!  Please share with me your healthiest recipe for the week.

For now,

Go Forth and Prosper,

Healthy Monday – Health Check-up

December 10, 2019 by Molinda Goforth Leave a Comment

 Health Check Up

I thought I Was Sick

I was tired, weak and hurt when I walked. A visit to the Doctor confirmed my health needed attention.  She ordered Cat Scan. The results  revealed inflammation in my colon and possible abscess. Oh,  it opened the door for me to walk through and have many, many other necessary and routine tests.  Those tests are not on my to do list now, although I am not saying they will never be.

My habits and thoughts have contributed to manifest an illness that calls for immediate change.

For three days following the cat scan I had only antibiotics and clear liquids. Each day was an  improvement, but within two weeks the call of habit helped me slide back into my previous daily routine. Tonight, a second cat scan is scheduled.

It’s like returning to the stage of an infant. First, consume  liquids.  Next, add some soft and Healthy food (not frozen dinners and fast food chains)…. drink lots of water and start with beginners study.

My visit to Urgent Care resulted in an urgent awareness to change eating habits, add exercise and drink more water. In addition, stress must be deleted, more sleep and some play time!

Start Health Early In the Morning

This Morning, I drank….. Hot water with lemon, honey and apple cider vinegar.

I am an early riser. Next around 7:00 am I had one cup of coffee and a piece of dry toast.

At 9:30 a smoothie, recipe from Dr Oz was welcomed.  Unfortunately, food for the remainder of the day wasn’t as healthy. Funny  in my thoughts, I believed one day of perfect healthy food would make a scan all better. Tonight, the second scan is scheduled.

Hopefully,  the report from the radiologist will soon be available. I love technology that allows us to access our patient file.

Please know, Doctors are important and I respect each one.  However, I believe we are responsible to pray, research, and ask God for wisdom before just accepting a diagnosis.  After all, Doctors practice and I believe God made me…so He knows exactly what I need.  My research includes information from the following video.

A Video For Health

Food Prep For Health

In the morning, I will share my video of making the smoothie and recipes for the week!  It’s a journey and I love company… Tell me what you do each day for your health!

For years, Monday was my day off from work, and it seems the habit is hard to erase.  I find it exciting to know entering in to the new year, Monday will be my wake up day to evaluate and implement a better routine. What do you plan to do in 2020 for your health?

Together, let us

Go forth and Prosper  and be in good health!

Spotlight on Me

Spotlight on Me

Personal Up-date

Health, Wealth and Prosperity

It is a beautiful Day in Billings, Montana. Today is sunny.

Molinda E.Goforth

The view from my window is incredible this morning.  I love to see the sun rise, the different colors that fill the sky and messages for the day. Today the sunrise was red…“Red sky at night, sailor’s delight. Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning”   According to folk lore, the red sky carries much moisture, so something may be on the way……

Health

No matter how much I verbalize that the weather doesn’t affect my health, I am lying.  Warm sunshine agrees with my soul and bones. A priority with me must be to generate the funds to live where I am more comfortable.

My health is at the top of my list.  For the second time ever, I had a scare and an unpleasant Urgent Doctors Report. The ten days following, I basically consumed a liquid diet and antibiotics. Before my follow up visit, I will consume items from the Health Food Store, lots of Water and monitor how I feel.

For the past week, my staples were:

             Supplements were included.

Next week,  I will include some fruit and a a couple bland vegetables.  Spices will not be included.

Good Health means looking good.  Two weeks ago, my friends were saying, “You look so tired.” More comments like,  “Are you sick?”  ” Haven’t you been sleeping well? “

These aren’t the comments I want to hear.  It’s time for active change.

This afternoon, I have an appointment to get my hair done! Next I will hear:   “Looking good this weekend! ”  How about you?  What are your friends and family saying about you?

Time for Exercise

Loving my Apple watch to keep track of what I am really doing.  Sad, I can’t bear to share this week, because it was close to Nothing!

Monday, I have an appointment to visit a health facility with a warm water pool, hot tub and of course the usual machines for exercise.  Lord Help me to pay attention.

Finances

Streams of Income are on my vision board and now beginning to flow into my bank account.  It’s exciting to share with you the things I have learned and am learning to make life more abundant and prosperous.

The affiliate links you find in this post, may generate  income for me if you purchase.  Thank you for considering and know I am using each item posted here.

One of the ways to earn while you learn is to share affiliate links from your online presence.

Today, I am revisiting the lessons I Learned from Connie Green and haven’t begun to completely implement.  Connie is amazing.

My Foundation

Most important is my foundation with God.  Greeting Him the first thing each morning and inviting the Holy Spirit to Guide My day through the Valleys and let me hit the Highs with Hinds Feet.   My  scripture this week is:

Isaiah 41:10 – So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Thank you for visiting with me, Let’s

Moving While Sick!

November 6, 2019 by Molinda Goforth Leave a Comment

Good – Sunday Morning

 Move,Illness, Birthday and Home

My son moved to his new house this week.  Everyday I helped. I packed boxes, cleaned, complained and rejoiced. Physically, I hurt. An urgent visit to the Doctors office took time. Deadline closed in. “

The Doctor said I was sick. She ordered blood tests, a cat scan and two other tests.

She said:  “Rest, drink clear liquid only for three days  and get lots of rest.  After three days eat a bland diet. Then,  follow with another cat scan in 3 weeks.”

Take the Antibiotics. Instructions on the Antibiotics said to take with food!  Is clear liquid food?

Oh my, I don’t know how to rest.  Is packing boxes and more boxes resting?  Perhaps worrying  worrying about a deadline is called stress?  Is thinking about a trip to the South during winter storms stress?

Birthday Celebration

In the midst of all, my son celebrated his birthday.  His daughter, her Mom and I ate cake with him in the new home, surrounded by Boxes!  Thank you Jesus, I lived to see this.  I am so excited he is not renting and has his dream home.

I listened to his 11 year old daughter saying….”Daddy”  and a few minutes later  “Daddy”   again and again, new questions each time, her curiosity became contagious.  Her Dad always answered her and I watched the bond between them grow.

That’s how it is when we call “Jesus.”  He is listening.  He will answer.  Our relationship grows.  The past 2 weeks I have called “Jesus”  many times.  Just saying His name brings calmness and joy.

Recalling a happy place in Jacksonville where I served on the worship team…we sang this song:

I sang it a lot this week and remembered what music means to me.  I don’t play like a professional but you know something, Jesus loves to hear me sing.  He will love to hear you too!  Sing today and enjoy the life you have.

Move is Complete

Well, the boxes I packed are now in the new place. Today, we will finish  cleaning the old place and start new memories at home.

I am shocked my desire for food has diminished.  This week I will focus on adding some flavor to the bland diet.  I feel better.

What’s on a Bland Diet?  Think no flavor.  Actually, hold your mouse here and click to see what I am eating and drinking.  Antibiotics are gone. My symptoms are improving.

Much love for today and the week, let’s

Go forth and Prosper
